Who we are

Outzy is operated by Spectrum Labs B.V. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@outzy.app.

What we collect

For parents: name, email address, locale, and the passkey credentials your device generates. For children: a display name, year of birth, and a coarse home location stored at neighbourhood granularity (~1.2 km cell). We never store your child's precise GPS coordinates.

How we use it

Authenticating you, suggesting nearby activities at coarse granularity, recording approvals between parents, and operating the moderation pipeline. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers.

Children's data

Children under the age of consent in your country can only join Outzy through a parent. Parents control friendships, blocks, challenge submissions, and visibility. Communications between unrelated children are restricted to parent-approved templates.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@outzy.app and we respond within 30 days.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account exists, then deleted within 90 days. Audit logs (a record of safety-relevant actions) are retained for 365 days even after account deletion, to support law-enforcement requests.

Where we store data

On servers located in the European Union. Backups are encrypted at rest.
