Cream 100g of softened butter with 100g of sugar in a bowl. Beat in 1 egg. Stir in flour, a spoonful at a time, until it forms a soft dough (about 200g). Mix in chocolate chips, oats, raisins, anything. Drop spoonfuls on a tray. Bake at 180°C/355°F for 12 minutes. The first batch will be wrong. Note what you\'ll change. Try again.
